End!

There are very few things in life more terrifying than the thought of being on the death bed and realizing that your life was a waste and that your legacy will not carry on to your posterity. Being an entrepreneur is not about how much fiscal success one can obtain, how much recognition we receive, or even about whether or not the business itself was a success; it is far more profound and powerful than mere success. The Entrepreneurial journey isn't about what we can make, it is more about what we become in the process of creating this journey. My father once told me that creating a business is like creating a monster, it starts out so small, just a little debt to get things off the ground with just a few low risks. But as time progresses, and we continue to feed the monster, it grows, and grows, and grows and left unchecked, it will consume the soul. Being a entrepreneur can literally drain away life and consume a man. It is imperative that we control the monster and keep our heads on our shoulders so that we can make wise decisions. It is important to also realize that the creation of a company is a commitment in itself, if we are not careful we will involve many other lives in our businesses only to let them down and hurt those who trusted us. Creating a business is like creating another family in that these responsibilities along with monetary debt can quickly swallow one up. This journey is not for the faint of heart, it is brutal and careful time management is required, especially when the entrepreneur has a family. My father described the journey as very risky, but also very rewarding when it is done correctly. I believe that by following what we love to do and doing our best we can help others come to have something incredible in their lives and serve them. If we think of business as a way to serve others we will immediately become more successful. My boss, Frank, from Melaleuca showed that to me very clearly with how generous he is with others. It is beautiful to see what he has done to bless the lives of all of us! His firework shows, work picnics and fun loving spirit bless us daily and I hope to become like him someday with the business that I create.

This course so far has been great to me, I have learned so much this past week about the importance of habits and how to become a successful person. We can do it, but not at the expense of Family

I enjoyed and was slightly surprised by the talk that essentially told us that to be a Entrepreneur is not for everyone and that start-ups are not recommended for couples. I believe that there was a lot of sense in doing what they all recommended especially the parts about never compromising God, family, and spouse relations. Businesses require a great amount of time and effort so it can easily encroach on family time and church, but when properly regulated, businesses can bring great happiness and financial blessings to not only the family but also to many other Children of our Heavenly Father. I also enjoyed the video of Wences when he declared that being a Entrepreneur isn't what we do, it is what we are! Such a mindset is sure to bring about success and happiness in all righteous endeavors. People who execute are number one

I have enjoyed learning about the attitude of a successful entrepreneur and that profits do not define the success of a business. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning that the attitude for success is a win-win situation by leading with our examples and through love. By doing our best to bless the lives of others and listening to what they need rather than simply trying to guess at what they want, we will experience success in our various occupations and start-up attempts. Because of this course my wife and I are now contemplating the idea of creating our first little business, a small restaurant! Plans are being made as we apply what we have learned and we hope that what we are going to learn will help to fill in the gaps that we have right now.
